Bynum is only 21 years old, he has become a predominant player in the NBA and he is the main x-factor for the Lakers to win a championship. The Lakers have a unique situation in which they are dealing; they have two very different seven-footers. Pau Gasol is the perfect piece for the triangle offense and Bynum who is a perfect fit in their defensive need of a imitating center. Last year, when the Celtics beat the Lakers, they were without Bynum and that toughness inside. This year the Lakers have Bynum in the playoffs and they need him to perform. When I say perform I mean they need him to block shots, rebound and imitated opponents. With Gasol and Bynum playing well together the Lakers are unbeatable. With their different style of play, the Lakers can beat you in so many ways.
Currently in the playoffs Andrew Bynum has averaged 5.6 points, one block shot, and 4 rebounds in about 15 minutes of play. In the season Bynum average 14 points, 2 block shots and 8 rebounds a game in 29 minutes of play. For the Lakers to be able to win a championship easily they need Bynum to perform and put up the numbers he did in the regular season. Bynum was the youngest player ever selected in the NBA Draft and the youngest player to ever play in an NBA regular season game at 18 years and 6 days old.
