In game seven of the western conference semifinals, Andrew Bynum showed what he is capable of doing and how much of a positive impact he can have on a game. His final line was 6 for 7 from the field, 2 for 2 from the free throw line resulting in 14 points, 6 boards and 2 block shots. A very impressive game and a game in which he the Lakers needed to beat Houston. Although Bynum has struggled throughout the playoffs he is coming back from a knee injury and will need time to adjust to game speed. The only way Bynum will get accustomed to game speed basketball is by him getting playing time. As a said in my previous post, that the Lakers are nearly unbeatable with both Bynum and Pau Gasol playing well. That theory was proven to be correct in game 7. Even with Kobe’s struggles in that game, he only scored 14 points, the Lakers were still able to win easily.
With every good performance that Bynum has, his confidence will only grow causing his play to get better. For all the critics of Bynum, yall are simply haters, his only 21 years old and improving with every passing moment. If he continues to develop Bynum will be one of the premier centers in the league.
